The first snapshot since 1.4.5 is out! The new update includes;

Added fireworks (sound effects will come soon)

Added enchanted books for enchanting items

Plenty of bugs addressed!

Jeb says that they wanted to have fireworks in minecraft before New Years. He also said that bug patch 1.4.6 will be out before christmas, but the 1.5 updat date wont be out untill Jannuary or maybe Febuary.

The fireworks look really nice, but do not have a sound yet.
