Hey everyone, I just noticed that Miningmagic360 blog now has 500 views! Thank you so much! I plan on keeping this going and hope to put more and more content out! But I want to know what do YOU want to see?

Minecraft 13w09a & 13w09b!

UPDATE:

Jens has posted 13w09c and said that they will shoot to get the pre-release out next week! I will have a 13w09c post soon.

MAIN POST:

This week snapshot is out! It's a bit late because of Mojam but it is here, and that's all that counts. A few days ago @Jeb_ tweeted that 1.5 (The Redstone Update) should be out early March. Jens also said there may be a pre-release today or Friday! That mean that most of the new things are bug fixes. That's also why I missed the last few snapshots. Tell me if you want to see the bug fix update! So with all that said here is the change log:

      PlayStation4 reviled!

So, as some of you know the PS4 has been reviled at the Sony event in New York last night, and most (if you don't why are you reading this?) of you don't know what is new in the PS4! Not a lot is known but some of the main things are.

The first is the controller is the new DualShock4 is cool with the same basic look of the DualShock3 and has a improved rumble, a small touchpad that is like the one on the back of the Vita, on the top of the remote between the directional pad and the Triangle, Circle, Cross, and Square buttons, there is a light bar that can display different colors, used to indicate which player is which and to indicate critical messages such as low health. This is used to communicate with a dual camera attachment; the external camera attachment perceives movement and depth by using the controller's light bar, and the DualShock4 features the following buttons: PS button, SHARE button, OPTIONS button, d-pad, action buttons (triangle, circle, cross, square), shoulder buttons (R1/L1), triggers (R2/L2), analog stick click buttons (L3/R3) and a touch pad click button. These mark several changes from the DualShock3 and other previous PlayStation controllers. The START and SELECT buttons have been merged into a single OPTIONS button. A dedicated SHARE button will allow players to upload video from their gameplay experiences. The joysticks and triggers have been redesigned based on developer input. The joysticks will now feature a concave surface, similar to that of the Xbox 360 controller.

Also the PlayStation 4 will feature a custom-designed single-chip processor, with an 8-core 64-bit x86 central processing unit (CPU) developed by AMD. It is code-named "Jaguar". This architecture marks a change from the "powerful but difficult to develop for" Cell processor found in the PlayStation 3. The graphics processing unit (GPU) will be based on next-generation AMD Radeon graphics. It will perform at 1.84 TFLOP/s. It is likely to perform better than a mid-range graphics card in a gaming computer. It will also include dedicated graphics technology for seamless compression and decompression of video media. The PlayStation 4 will include 8 GB of GDDR5 system memory, allowing for 176 GB/s of bandwidth. Memory will be unified, meaning that the console lacks dedicated video RAM; all RAM is shared between processing and graphics capabilities. This feature has been found in past consoles such as the Xbox 360. The read-only optical drive will read Blu-ray discs at 6x and DVDs at 8x. A hard disk drive will be included, although Sony has not yet announced the size. The PlayStation 4 will feature 802.11 b/g/n network connectivity as well as Ethernet. USB 3.0 will be included, as will Bluetooth 2.1. An auxiliary port will also be included. The system will come bundled with a mono headset, which can be plugged into the DualShock4. Output options will be HDMI, analog AV-out, and optical S/PDIF audio out. The console will support output of 4K resolution video but games cannot be rendered in that resolution.

The thing Sony did not show was the PS4 itself! So I guess we might need to wait for E3 for that.

Will you rush out and buy one when it comes out in the 4th quarter of 2013? Do you think the next Xbox will be better? Let me know!

Minecraft on Windows 8 full guide!

Windows 8 has been out for awhile and people have said Minecraft does not work. But the truth is it does! And I get around 20fps more then with Windows 7! So I wrote this guide to show you how to install Minecraft, mods and texture packs!

      How to install Minecraft:

      1. Go to your favorite web browser and go to minecraft.net.
      2. Click 'Download' under 'Play Now button.
      3. Click minecraft.exe.
      4. Click 'Save'.
      5. When it's done press 'Open'!
      6. Enjoy!
How to pin Minecraft to Start screen:

      1. Go to the 'Desktop' app.
      2. Click 'File Explorer'.
      3. Locate where Minecraft.exe saved at. For me it was in 'Downloads'.
      4. Right-Click minecraft.exe and press 'Pin to Start'.
      5. Voila it is now pinned to the start screen!
How to locate .minecraft (If you want to install mods/texturepacks/snapshots):

      1. Go to the start screen.
      2. Type %appdata%
      3. Hit enter.
      4. There you are! Now just click .minecraft and use it just like Windows XP-7 would!
