The Microsoft Surface RT tablet is expected to have sales over a million units in the 4th quarter. The Surface aslo came out in October 26,so well into the 4th quarter.
By comparison, Google's Nexus 7 tablet, that went out in June started selling at 500,000 a month and is now selling closer to 1,000,000 a month. The reason the Nexus 7 as a price of $199 and the surface starts at $499. Apple has sold 14 million iPads in the 3rd quarter.
A Boston-based brokerage firm, Detwiler Fenton, claimed in a research note today that Microsoft is likely to sell less than a million units in the December quarter.
